Local Greenwood Library Offers Free Life Saving Classes
Receive life saving classes from the Greenwood Public Library! You may not think it is that important to learn proper CPR, but you never know when you may need to use it. Get the necessary training and legal certification, all in a three hour class. Police officer Rex Saltsgaver volunteered to teach the class on saving lives.
There will be a written test at the end, so pay close attention! All the information you need to give proper CPR is something everyone needs to learn, and it is free to the public. According to the American Heart Association, almost 383,000 cardiac arrests occur annually and this number could be decreased through general education. Be the hero in a life and death situation – 32% of these victims have gotten CPR from a bystander!
Greenwood police could not over-stress the importance of this program. The class will be held on Monday, April 21st from 5:30 to 8 p.m. You must be 13 years of age or older to attend, and the certification costs $10.50. Go online and register for this class or call the library at 317-885-5036.
