Gym for ‘Kids of All Abilities’ Opens in Greenwood
A new gym space for kids has opened in Greenwood—but it’s not just another play place.
According to WishTV.com, “We Rock the Spectrum” is a gym designed for kids with autism and other developmental disorders in mind, but is also open to kids of all abilities. Owner Amy Phillips got the idea from California.
“I’ve been a special needs teacher for 18 years. This is my passion. This is what I enjoy doing. When I heard about this, I said, you know what, I really want to be the one to bring this to the community. The community needs this. The kids need this place,” Phillips told the news outlet.
One of the signature features of the 3,000-square-foot gym is the calming room, where kids can get some peace and quiet, the article said.
Customers can sign up for a membership or pay per visit. For more information, go to werockthespectrumgreenwood.com.
