Greenwood School Honors Teacher Killed in 2012 Explosion

A Greenwood elementary school recently honored the memory of one of its own, who died in a house explosion in 2012.

According to the Daily Journal, Southwest Elementary School held a special ceremony last month that dedicated its media center to Jennifer Longworth. She was a second grade teacher at the school for 12 years. She and her husband, Dion, were killed when an explosion rocked the subdivision they lived in, the publication said.

The ceremony was held the day before what would’ve been Jennifer’s 39th birthday.
