Greenwood Police Donate Vehicle to Senior Center for Meals on Wheels Service

The Greenwood Police Department recently donated a vehicle to a local senior center that’ll be used for the local Meals on Wheels program.

According to 5NEWS KFSM, the Senior Activity Center was the recipient of the vehicle, and its Meals on Wheels program is used by more than 80 seniors.

The vehicle was originally scheduled to be sent to auction, but Police Chief Will Dawson told the television station his department would rather step in to make sure local seniors are taken care of.

In addition to the vehicle donation, Greenwood officers are taking a step even further and raising money for decals, the article said.
