Greenwood Boys Basketball Coach Readies Team in His 28th Season

With its veteran coach at the helm, Greenwood Community High School’s boys basketball is preparing for the 2016-17 season.

According to the Daily Journal, longtime coach Bruce Hensley is evolving his style to try and get the team prepared.

Hensley, who also teaches at Greenwood, has been head coach since the 1988-89 season. He told the newspaper that as times have changed, his coaching style has had to, too.

“I’ve told a lot of people it’s much tougher being a teenager now than when I was growing up,” he told the Daily Journal. “You’re still going to do things you believe in, but maybe the manner in which you do them is maybe a little bit different.”

The team opens play Nov. 25 at New Castle
