Center Grove Ranked in Top 25 of Indiana’s Best High Schools

Greenwood’s Center Grove High School is one of the best high schools in the state, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best High Schools list.

The school ranked 25th overall on the list, earning it a silver medal from U.S. News. Highlights from the report included the school’s 93 percent graduation rate, the fact that 41 percent of students participate in Advanced Placement courses and the 20:1 student-teacher ratio.

Overall, Indiana had 127 schools recognized in this year’s list, including 3 gold medal schools, 46 silver medal schools and 78 bronze medal schools.

Each spring U.S. News releases these rankings at the national and state level. This year news and information company used a four-step elimination process to evaluate more than 21,000 schools nationwide—looking at state test scores, performance of disadvantaged students, graduation rates and then college readiness performance.
