Boy Scout to Build Benches for Greenwood’s Freedom Park

A Greenwood Community High School student and aspiring Eagle Scout is giving back to the community by building and installing benches in a local park.

According to The Daily Journal, Nolan Feller, a Greenwood Community High School student, is building and installing seven benches in Greenwood’s Freedom Park for his Eagle Scout project.

Five bench will be dedicated to a different branch of the military, and two other benches will be dedicated to police officers and firefighters in the city, the article said.

To help fund the project, Feller is hosting a pancake breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Greenwood’s Craig Park Shelter 1.
