UC’s South Denver Campus Gets Major Gift

UC’s South Denver Campus Gets Major Gift

The University of Colorado has been given its largest real estate donation in the school’s 138-year history.

According to the Denver Business Journal, The Wildlife Experience facility was donated to the school by Dave and Gail Liniger. Dave Liniger is chairman emeritus of The Wildlife Experience. The $40 million gift houses fine art, historical exhibits and interactive science exhibits, and will allow the university to expand it’s South Denver presence.

“CU has already been using 11,000 square feet of the 151,000-square-foot facility for classroom and lab space, starting classes there in August,” the article said.

The CU board of regents recently approved the renaming of the facility to the Liniger Building at the University of Colorado South Denver.
