Now that they year is coming to an end, Thrillist is taking a look back and recently compiled its Best New Denver Bars 2014, which features 11 hot spots all around town.
Here are a few spots that made the list:
Located in the lobby of Union Station, Trillist says Terminal Bar: “serves up drinks to many a weary traveler that passes its threshold. A bevy of local brews dot the menu from Great Divide, Black Shirt Brewing, Avery, and Left Hand — but if you find yourself yearning for something stronger, TB will pour you a classic concoction from a Martinez to a Rusty Nail.”
RiNo Yacht Club is located in The Source building collective, and was only missing a hopping bar spot, Thrillist said.
“Enter the RiNo Yacht Club, which dropped anchor (!) right in the middle of The Source, armed with handcrafted cocktails from the beautiful minds of owners Mary Allison Wright and McClain Hedges.”
Comrade opened in April in southeast Denver and is all about “Made in the USA” even though it has a Russian theme.
“They pour a great selection of classically brewed suds; definitely don’t miss their GABF medal-winning Fresh Hop Superpower IPA,” Thillist said. “Their 120-seat taproom also plays host to food trucks on occasion, to help keep you strong like Ivan Drago… you know, until the end part.”
