One of the area’s most popular happenings is soon to be back for another year. Yes. The Starz Denver Film Festival is set to begin Nov. 12 and will run until Nov. 23 at various venues around town.
According to the Denver Post, the festival features more than opportunities to watch movies. There are also parties, special tributes, special presentations, panels and more.
“All told, there will be more than 250-plus films from more than 40 countries,” the newspaper said. “Most will screen at the SieFilm Center and the UA Denver Pavilions multiplex on the 16th Street Mall. Opening night, Big Night and Closing night films have their close-ups at the Buell Theatre.”
Some of the most anticipated films include “Wild,” “Foxcatcher” and “Two Days, One Night.”
This year marks the 37th year of the Starz Denver Film Festival. The 12-day event is put on by the Denver Film Society. For more information on the festival and to see the whole schedule, go to denverfilm.org/festival.
