New Tennis Facility Being Considered for South Denver

Denver Public Schools, the University of Denver and nonprofit Denver Tennis Park are looking at building a tennis facility next to the All City Stadium at Denver South High School, according to the Denver Post.

The project is in the preliminary stages, but if approved it would serve as a training and tournament facility, as well as the home courts for the University of Denver. The goal would be to build seven indoor and eight outdoor courts at the corner of the stadium near Interstate 25 and Franklin Street, the Post said.

“Right now we’re exploring, through this partnership, if this is feasible,” said Stu Halsall, associate vice chancellor in athletics and recreation at the University of Denver, told the publication. “I believe it has great potential.”
