South Denver has welcomed a new version of a Goodwill store to its neighborhood at 8230 S. Colorado Blvd. This store is special because it is the organization’s first-ever boutique store. They sell furniture, mattresses and even home decor.
Vanessa Clark, senior director of marketing for Goodwill, said the new store is a way for Goodwill to diversify there 30 some retail stores throughout the Denver metro area.
“Our donors have been really generous over the last months and years donating gently used furniture and home items, and we had enough stock that we could open a standalone store to make it easy for folks to have a one-stop shop to have items for their home, their apartment, their dorm, and that sort of thing,” Clark said in the Denver Post article.
After opening its doors Aug. 2, the two-story store has been bringing in a lot of business. Patrons are enjoying the modestly priced gently-used furniture.
Clark said, in the article, that people who buy from or donate to Goodwill stores help the organization expand. The nonprofit is also opening up regular retail shops in Aurora, Sept. 6 at 18355 E. 35th Place, and in Highlands Ranch on Sept. 27.
