When it comes to the friendly craft brewing community of the world, the owners of Comrade Brewing Company in Denver have chosen to make that friendliness part of their namesake.
Comrade, the website says, is “a person who shares in one’s activities, occupation, etc.; companion, associate, or friend. … The name comes from the camaraderie that the craft brewing industry is known for.”
The brewery just opened its doors in April and has gotten lots of praise from publications and bloggers around the state. The brewery is one of two breweries in Colorado that uses only U.S.-made brewing equipment to make their libations.
So, what’s on tap? A few things are mainstays throughout the year, and there are also some more seasonal brews that rotate in and out. One of the regulars is Superpower IPA, which is a west coast style IPA with “loads of pacific northwest hops.” This one is also the 2014 Colorado State Fair Silver Medal winner, and the breweries No. 1 seller. Seasonal specialties include Red Dawn (an American style red ale) and Quit Stalin (a Russian Imperial stout).
So, if you’re looking for a stellar drink and a little friendship, one of Comrade’s concoctions might be the way to go! Click here to get to the breweries website.
