The 36th annual Starz Denver Film Festival began its’ 12-day film celebration last Wednesday, and has been drawing all sorts of attention to the Colorado city. Attendance last year, was a whopping 58,000 and this year even more! It is known as ‘one of the region’s largest cultural events’, drawing crowds of people from all over the country.
“Hanna Ranch“, a documentary directed by Mitch Dickman, will have a gala in its’ honor, premiering this Saturday at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. This is the first time a local film documentary has made its way to the event.
Denver is really becoming ‘the location’ for arts and film. They now offer a 20 percent cash rebate if you produce your movie here. The film-incentives bill is a great way to draw in money for the city, and grow the potential we all know Denver has already.
