Arapahoe Plaza Undergoing Redevelopment to Encourage Future Growth

A new owner is taking over the shopping center in South Denver, hoping to turn it into a more modern retail location for locals and visitors. The Arapahoe Plaza retail center is in the southeast corner of Quebec Street and Arapahoe Road. Currently, it is under construction with hopes that it will be completed in April.

The new, improved shopping center will include five new stores! Redeveloping is part of the Arapahoe Urban Center subplan – it is a way to designate and prepare the area for more development opportunities! South Denver has many things to look forward to this spring; the new art hub, and now these retail stores. Improvements such as these have a positive impact upon housing – good news for both home buyers and sellers.

The businesses will face the street and a pedestrian plaza will be included, along with bike racks. The center will feature garage-style doors to enhance the pedestrian feel. The plan area covers Arapahoe Road roughly from Interstate 25 to Quebec Street, and north to Greenwood Village.
