Two22Brew and Blue Spruce Excite Centennial Beer Lovers

It has been a growing trend in the Denver area and now Centennial has two new breweries to offer locals. Microbreweries are popping up all over the country, especially in Colorado. Even though the competition is steep, these brew masters are determined to create their own take on the delicious adult beverage.

This south metro city just got a lot more hoppy. Two breweries opened their doors recently on opposite sides of Centennial. Blue Spruce Brewing Company and Two22 Brew are attracting all sorts of attention from beer lovers from around Denver. Blue Spruce is located at County Line Road and Colorado Boulevard, while Two22 is east of E-470 and Quincy Avenue, near Aurora.

Both locations are getting rave reviews from the community and from beer enthusiasts. According to the Centennial Citizen, Owner of Blue Spruce Rick Kane was overwhelmed by the volume of business. “We have been pack every day.” he said. “People have come in from the neighborhood saying, ‘We’ve been watching the construction for months, and are so glad you’re open.”

On the other side of Centennial, they have been dealing with similar results. Co-owner Paige Schuster told the recent article that, “It’s been a crazy two months,” she said. “This section of town is really missing those local things, a place people can come hang out and feel comfortable. The neighborhood has been craving something like this.”

Each brewery is run by a husband and wife teacher team. Ironic? Two22′s Schuster and Marcus Christianson taught in the Cherry Creek School District, while Blue Spruce’s Kane recentlly retired from the Douglas County School District, where his wife Theresa still teaches, according to the recent article.

Now fully up and running, Centennial locals are flocking to both locations each day. Of course, each brewery is going to have their own flavors and unique selections, so it keeps things interesting for everyone.
