Summer Blast Off Party Features Grand Re-Opening of Amphitheater
Centennial Center Park has plenty of summer events to attend. The Summer Blast Off party is this Saturday, June 7 and kicks off the beginning of the park’s season. Activities start at 6 p.m. with a free concert featuring tribute band The Long Run: Experience the Eagles, local artist Katey Laurel and the Aurora School of Rock.
Along with the great, local live music is delicious food, children’s activities and fireworks. Summer Blast Off is also going to be featuring the grand re-opening of the renovated amphitheater in Centennial Center Park. The new stage cover will help accommodate acts and makes it a little more attractive for entertainers to come, said Allison Wittern, public information and special events manager for the city.
Other activities include their Friday Film Fests, every second and fourth Fridays of June and July. Centennial also hosts a farmers and artisans market on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 14 and July 12. Featuring fresh produce from Colorado companies and food from an array of food trucks to sample (like Little india and Crave-It Frozen Yogurt) the fun never stops in this park.
Located at 13050 E. Peakview Ave., the Centennial Center Park summer events will give friends and neighbors a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy community activities.
