Centennial Colorado is a city that lets you enjoy the outdoors at its finest. It is home to 800 acres of open lands and over 500 acres of park spaces. There are also hiking and biking trails that are suitable for children, athletes, and seniors. The trails are generally well-kept so you can enjoy a great hiking and biking experience in this city.

Centennial takes the management of its parks seriously. In fact, it contributes a significant amount of its Conservation Trust Fund for the purpose of keeping the parks immaculate. There are several notable parks and open spaces in the area. These include:

Centennial Park

This 11-acre park has picnic tables, barbeque grills, bike racks, and a covered shelter. The shelter is designed to give guests a comfy feel with its gas fireplace and coffee area. It is suitable for families, couples, and groups of friends traveling together.

The Centennial Park also features natural history elements. For example, the plaza highlights the timetable of the Cherry Creek Watershed. In addition, children will learn a lot about human history from the lithic period to the formative period when they visit the amphitheater. Some interesting trivia about Colorado are also showcased in this park.

Centennial Link Trail

Centennial plans to create a comprehensive trail network in Colorado. It has partnered with the South Suburban Park Foundation to link the city’s neighborhood to the regional network of trails. This project will allow nature-lovers to enjoy better access to the area’s best trails. The city has obtained three grants for the project and expects to complete the network soon.

Another park worth noting in this article is the Cherokee Trail Park. It is found near the Piney Creek Trail and it is a must-visit for residents and visitors. There is no doubt that Centennial Colorado offers a lifestyle that is different from most large cities. It offers a great lifestyle and promising opportunities to residents.
