Indian Ridge Elementary Approved to be Rezoned

The 14-acre school property of Indian Ridge Elementary was approved to be rezoned. It will now be in Centennial because of the 2011 Land Development Code, that is for “education, institutional and recreation” reasons.

Enclosed by the city, the Indian Ridge area is best moved out of the urban community into a more open place for students. City officials made a deal with the Cherry Creek Schools and the Arapahoe Park and Recreation to assist with the improvement.

They plan on adding an amphitheater for the school use, and upgrade needed repairs. Adding the new park to the school will not only help the Centennial kids, but the local ones as well.
