Germany came to Centennial

Germany Came to Centennial

This years fourth annual Deutscher Tag German Day celebration in Centennial was a huge success, despite the freezing drizzle.  The all day event was held last weekend on Oct 5th & 6th at the Southgate Shopping Center, by the Edelweiss Preservation Society.  The annual festival honoring German-American culture provided tons of fun with live German music, presentations of German Dance, instruments & attire and the Celebration of German Reunification.  There was even educational booths as well as booths of local German based businesses. This event was just about as authentic as it gets in Colorado, right down to the beer and brats. Guest & musicians all the way from Munich, Germany were in attendance and despite the chilly temperatures everyone enjoy the impromptu intimate arrangement when most of the event’s activities were moved into the main tent.  This event was a great day in the community full of fun for everyone.

If you missed out on this years, make sure to be on the look out for next years  Deutscher Tag German Day.
