Expansion to Busy Arapahoe Road Approved Easing Commute for Locals
Finally, construction of the expansion of Arapahoe Road from Waco Street to Himalaya Way in Centennial has been approved. The city council has been in discussion about the topic for some time now and realized that they need to do this for the community. Ready to hit the road, the final $6 million needed for the $15 million expansion was obtained.
Not only will the expansion help with the traffic around the city, but surrounding communities will benefit as well. No more waiting forever to drive just a few miles home during the busy, well-known, Denver traffic! This long overdue project is going to get rid of the bottle-neck that the old two-lane road created.
In return, present and future locals in and around Centennial are going to be much happier! The traffic in the area has been an increasing battle for everyone, and now that the city has officially recognized the problem, it will be fixed. Residents can now wait patiently, until spring 2015, for the road construction to be finished so that they can go about their lives in a more comfortable fashion.
