Dinosaurs and Biking; Spend an Afternoon Trail Riding and Discovering Fossils

Two things you may never think to put together – Dinosaurs and biking. They will be doing just that on Saturday, April 12 at the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge and the Colorado Neurological Institute! A day filled will cycling, geology, and fossils sounds like an exciting weekend afternoon for the family.

Located just west of the C-470 exit at Alameda Parkway, just a bit to the northwest of Centennial, the dinosaur fun begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m. Get your hands dirty with some gold panning and fossil sifting! See if you can dig up some old imprints on stones, or even a dinosaur bone. Anything can happen in the rural areas of Colorado.

In addition, Recycle Bicycle and Bicycles for Humanity are going to be there to accept gently used bikes as donations for adults and kids that can’t afford them. Learn about the local trails, bike and hike up the mountain, or take the shuttle! Whatever the plan may be, there are plenty of things to do near Centennial this day.
