City of Centennial to Offer Free Christmas Tree Recycling
When the Christmas holiday is over, don’t just throw out your Christmas tree. Recycle it for free!
The City of Centennial, along with Arapahoe Park and Recreation District and South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, are providing residents free tree recycling from Friday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Jan. 12, 2015. The trees will then turned into mulch, which residents can then pick up and use for free.
Drop off locations on the east side of the city include:
Lookout Park, 5455 S. Riviera Way
Piney Creek Hollow Park, 6140 S. Tower Rd.
According to a city news release, mulch will be available for private use at both locations starting Dec. 29 and every other day after that.
Drop off location on the west side of the city are:
Cornerstone Park, 5150 S. Windermere St. (corner of W. Belleview Ave. and S. Windermere St.)
Willow Spring Service Center, 7100 S. Holly St.
Residents can drop off seven days a week from sun up to sunset. Residents will be able to obtain the free mulch beginning Dec. 30. Mulch will be available weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Willow Spring site.
