Centennial Warriors Defeat Eagles at their Homecoming Game

Happy to be back at their own gym, the Arapahoe boys basketball team brought home a victory! Brandon Till was the highlight of the evening, leading the team to a win with his 26-point performance, 10 of which were in the fourth quarter. By defeating the number 5 ranked Mountain Vista team, Centennial moves up a couple spots.

According to the Centennial Citizen, they were down 49-48 with 4:40 to play in the game, then Arapahoe outscored the Golden Eagles 15-6. The Warriors, guilty of seven turnovers in the first quarter, had just 10 the rest of the way and employed a zone defense down the stretch which seemed to baffle Mountain Vista, which came into the game scoring 85.1 points per game.

The Arapahoe Warriors, despite their last month of absence, made up for it in the game they played. The boys are just happy to be playing for their community again. As a team, they will continue to convert more wins, and hopefully bring Centennial all the way to the playoffs!
