Centennial Receives a Certificate of Achievement
The wonderful City of Centennial has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) and has been awarded with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting!
The City was acknowledged for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR), for 2012. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“The City of Centennial strives to be good stewards of our citizen’s tax dollars. We are proud that the Government Finance Officers Association has acknowledged the City’s strong accounting and finance reporting practices and its ability to clearly communicate the City’s financial story,” says Finance Director Dawn Priday.
