3 Easy Home Improvement Projects for Winter
We’re still more than a month away from the official start of spring, so you may be going a little stir crazy being indoors all the time. Well, take that stifled energy and do one or two those home improvement projects on your list.
If you’re up for getting a little dirty, but making a big difference in your home, here are a few projects to consider:
Paint a room or two—or five
Giving a room a fresh coat of paint can dramatically transform your living space. The winter is a great time to paint because the air is much more dry than it is in the humid summer. You can usually paint a whole room for less than $50, depending on the paint and number of coats needed.
Install a programmable thermostat
This is such an easy and inexpensive project. Not only will you be able to regulate the temperature of your home at all times, but you’ll also be able to save some money on energy bills as a result.
Organize a Room a Week
Since you’re staying inside more now, you’re probably feeling a little cramped with all your stuff in every nook and spilling over into open space. Why not make a resolution to declutter and organize? Not only will your home be more organized, but you’ll also keep yourself busy.
