Volunteers at The Crisis Center Love Helping Others
Becki Rupp, a 44-year-old marketer for Blue Cross Blue Shield, loves to spend her extra time improving the lives of others. Volunteering her time at Castle Rock’s Crisis Center, she helps people in both the Douglas and Elbert counties by answering phones and emails.
“It allows me to help plan and support the initiative that will help people,” Rupp said in the Castle Rock News-Press article.
Beginning in 2009, Rupp has been busy helping with the Future for Families Gala, an annual fundraiser for the organization that provides safe houses for victims of domestic violence, as well as volunteering at the safe house and recently joined the board of directors.
“She’s got an incredible heart for the organization,” said Jennifer Walker, executive director of the Crisis Center in the article. “An all-around great volunteer.”
