Pass Along the Thank You Card – Castle Rock Connects Through Smiles Experiment
Smiling in Castle Rock seems to have its rewards these days! A recent school project called “Castle Rock Connects Through Smiles Experiment” encourages locals to smile, and to pass it on to the next person. There are 75 cards around the community being handed to strangers through the end of the month – you could be the next target!
The idea came from Beth Moreau, a teacher and office administrator of Woodlands Academy, when she decided to try and sustain the small-town atmosphere. When she first moved to Castle Rock it was merely 8,000 residents, now with over 50,000 the smiling project keeps the connection going! It just reminds people how much a smile can really improve a person’s mood instantly.
So – don’t be surprised if you are running your daily errands and someone hands you a thank you card. Just spread the happiness and initial the back; just like hundreds of people have already encountered. The project will continue until the end of the month, and the last person to receive it should return it to the school, 1057 Park Street on March 31st. Keep smiling!
