Castle Rock’s Philip S. Miller Park Now Open
After months of anticipation, Castle Rock’s Philip S. Miller Park is now officially open. A grand opening event was held Saturday, Oct. 25.
The 230-acre park houses a variety of outdoor activities, including a lighted synthetic-turf field, more than 6 miles of hiking and biking trails, and a challenge staircase for fitness buffs. And of course, the new Miller Activity Complex, or the MAC, is now open for business.
The MAC has tons of things for people to take advantage of, including: a full-sized and half-sized synthetic-turf fields, an aquatic center with a leisure pool and four lap lanes, a children’s climbing structure, a trampoline area, birthday party rooms, a golf simulator, and dropdown batting cages.
“Philip S. Miller Park [brings] a whole new set of active opportunities for residents and visitors alike,” Mayor Paul Donahue said in the release. “This is one of the many projects that make the community of Castle Rock such a great and exciting place to live.”
