Castle Rock’s Annual Pooch Plunge Set for Sept. 6

Castle Rock’s 10th annual Pooch Plunge is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at Butterfield Crossing Pool, 3952 W. Butterfield Crossing Dr.

The yearly event boasts fun, food, music and a little splashing, while benefiting Denver Dumb Friends League Buddy Center, which has two shelters for homeless pets. Donations will be expected and money will also be raised through a raffle, according to the city’s website.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes are invited to come with their families to the event. And while the plunge event is just for the furry friends, dog owners can get a little swim dip in at Butterfield Crossing or Burgess Memorial pools, but hours are reduced.

If you have questions about the Pooch Plunge, contact Ken DeKowzan at 720-733-2295 or kdekowzan@CRgov.com.
