Motivated Students Organize Environmental Concert

A new student-organized group recently hosted a very successful event that raised environmental awareness in Avon. Making over $1,000 for the Hendricks County Parks and Recreation Department, the organization held a concert at the McCloud Nature Park.

This was the first of many more projects to come for this new group of motivated students. The Environmental Awareness Concert, held in July, proved that these young individuals can come together to create a fun atmosphere and encourage donations.

“The Youth Advisory Board members proved themselves as an impressive group of young achievers,” County Parks Superintendent William Roche said in the Flyer Group article. “Multi-format event programming can be daunting but their determination was remarkable and event participants were overjoyed.”
