Meyer Named Assistant Principal of the Year

Frank Meyer was named the 2013 State Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year, from the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). Being Avon High School’s assistant principal, he has gained recognition for his model of education over the years.

Meyer was also named District Secondary Assistant Principal of District 8 which consists of West Central Indiana: Clay, Greene, Hendricks, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties. He was awarded at a luncheon at the Indianapolis Mariott by the IASP Executive Director, Todd Bess, as well as the IASP Vice President, Kelly Andrews.

Being chosen from Avon public schools is a great honor for Meyer. Only one principal is honored from each of the 12 districts, and he was chosen as an honest leader. The Indiana Association of School Principals is a non-profit professional association that honors 2,200 administrators in Indiana.
