Boating and More at Heritage Lake Marine this Summer
Spend some extra time around Heritage Lake by Avon this year. Many locals tend to overlook the various activities available at this beautiful lake; so make it a point to take advantage of the outdoors this year. The lake offers more than just boating, and there are other options for those that aren’t interested in holding a fishing pole, as well.
According to the Hendricks County Flyer, the Owner of Heritage Lake Marine, Donald Troy, went to school in the community and knows just what to do for excitement. “We’re a full service boat shop,” he said in the recent article. “They have lots of family-oriented functions. They have Feast-n-Ski, they have cookouts, and luau parties – it’s really kind of neat. It’s a smaller community. I know most of my customers. It’s that Mayberry atmosphere.”
Avon is indeed a smaller city with that “small-town feel,” making the residents feel like they are part of a great, tight-knit community. When the season starts getting warmer, they start heading outside to look for more things to do. Heritage Lake is one popular spot that seems to offer events for every age group.
Boating is a local favorite, so the marina does stay busy all summer. “We offer a 24-hour drop off,” said Troy in the article. “You can drop off (boats) any time you like. We’ve got a huge parking lot with plenty of room. We try to be easy to do business with.”
