SJBCS Gets Parents and Students Ready for School Year

The school year is approaching quickly and Ahwatukee schools are gearing up for another great year. St. John Bosco Catholic School (SJBCS) hosted their annual Meet the Teacher night this week and gave teachers the chance to meet the parents along with the students.

Selected student ambassadors hosted tours around the campus for future and/or potential new students. According to the Ahwatukee Foothills News article, the tour was in two parts: the first hour for new families and the second geared towards families that are familiar with the surroundings.

Seventh-and eighth-grade teacher Maureen Sullivan said, in the recent article, that the event was designed for parents and students to get rid of any anxiety that comes with the first day of school. It gives students a chance to interact with their teachers and familiarize themselves with the classroom they’ll be in for the school year.
