Mountain Pointe High School Thespians to Present ‘Fences’

Mountain Pointe High School thespians will present a daring production this weekend: “Fences.”

According to the Ahwatukee Foothills News, “Fences” is a Pulitzer Price winning production from playwright August Wilson.

What makes the play so daring is “Wilson’s raw look at the mounting rage of inner-city blacks in the mid-1950s as a bitter ex-Negro League baseball player blocks his son’s budding athletic career.”

The production premires on Friday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m., and will also run at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students.
