Desert Vista Golfer Commits to ASU Early

While most student athletes wait until their junior or senior years to declare their post-secondary plans, Desert Vista High School sophomore Davis Evans just couldn’t wait.

According to the Ahwatukee Foothills News, when Arizona State University came knocking early, Davis couldn’t say no.

“ASU was one of my top schools, if not the top school, and it’s a really good fit for me,” Evans told the newspaper. “It’s local, and they’re one of the best golf programs in the entire country.”

Evans is just a sophomore but he’s been playing on the junior circuit since he was 8 years old.
