AZCentral Releases ‘Ultimate’ Bucket List for Ahwatukee

From theater performances and restaurants to community celebrations and the tastiest bundt cake you’ll ever have, Ahwatukee Foothills has quite the plethora of fun things to do. And AZCentral recently outlined its top 10 picks.

The news outlet’s “Ultimate Arizona Bucket List: 10 Things to do in Ahwautkee” showcases annual favorites such as Desert Vista High School’s Nutcracker show and the holiday’s Festival of Lights, along with cool restaurants and other destinations.

Here’s what the publication had to say about a few of the things on its list:

Pomegranate Cafe

“Try the restaurant that the Manhattan-based National Gourmet Institute has deemed one of the nation’s top 10 spots for healthy and tasty food. The vegan menu at the Pomegranate Cafe in the Ahwatukee Foothills features items such as a Mediterranean wrap stuffed with lemon hummus, olives, greens, avocado, red onion, tomato, carrot, sprouts, red and yellow peppers and raw tacos made from purple cabbage taco shells and with walnut taco ‘meat.’”

Nothing Bundt Cake

“Sometimes a ‘bundt cake’ works itself into a movie or sitcom joke, but the baked confections at Nothing Bundt Cakes are no joke. Light, yet hearty, these ridged wonders are so visually beautiful, you’ll fail to see what’s so funny about a cake with a hole in the center. Small cakes, big cakes and cakes for all occasions come in red velvet, lemon, chocolate chocolate chip, marble, white chocolate raspberry or carrot with cream cheese frosting.”

Ahwatukee Farmers Market

“One-of-a-kind salsa, candles, bread and the fresh fruits and vegetables that the Ahwatukee Farmers Market is known for is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays. Held at the Ahwatukee Community Swim and Tennis Center, there’s more than enough Alaskan salmon, frozen green chiles, grass-fed beef and other foods and crafts to keep you busy for an hour but with plenty of elbow room.”
