‘AZ Wear That You Care’ Supports Local Vendors and Charities
Last weekend, over 20 Ahwatukee artists gathered at Pineapple Triangle’s “AZ Wear That You Care” shopping event that displayed a wide variety of hand-crafted jewelry and clothing. The event went from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a sunny Arizona day that was held in Downtown Phoenix’s Legend Studios City.
While shoppers supported local shops, they also got a chance to donate money to a charity of each vendors’ choice. Ahwatukee resident Magdelyn McGrath founded Pineapple Triangle, and started her company in hopes of helping other local artists. She also plans on hosting more markets in the near future.
“Creating an event like this has always been a dream of mine. With ‘AZ Wear That You Care,’ we can impact the community in a fun and positive way while supporting local artists. Making a difference doesn’t have to be something big, it can be somethings small that is done in a big way,” McGrath said in the Ahwatukee Foothills News article.
Saturday was a day of live music and food provided by the Roasted Shallot Food Truck. Located at the Legend Studios City, 521 W. Van Buren St., it was considered a success.
