Ahwatukee Elementary Schoolers Participate in ‘Day of Code’
Students at Ahwatukee’s Kyrene del Milenio Elementary School got a hands-on lesson in computer coding earlier this month.
According to the Ahwatukee Foothills News, the school’s entire student body, from kindergarten through fifth grade, played games and participated in lessons centered around computer coding.
Day of Code is an international program that was launched by the nonprofit code.org to push for computer science courses throughout K-12 classrooms across the country as well as overseas, the article said.
