Ahwatukee Bagel Shop Opens Walls to Student Artists
Local student artists now have a spot to display their work in town.
According to Ahwatukee Foothills News, Odelay Bagel Company’s owner Ryan Probst recently opened the walls of his shop to student’s looking to display their art.
“I’d been trying to do something with this space for quite some time and finding a picture or piece of art that I was in love with, could enjoy looking at every day and that was large enough to fill that wall had proved difficult,” Probst told the Ahwatukee Foothills News. “A customer mentioned that I could put student art up there, and I thought that was a great idea.”
Probst soon contacted art and photography teachers at local high schools to arrange for students to show their work in a custom-built display area at the bagel shop.
Right now, there are seven different pieces on display, the newspaper said.
