Ahwatukee Attorney Transitions From Law Practice to Advocacy for Seniors
An Ahwatukee man is giving up his law practice to devote his time to helping seniors.
According to the Ahwatukee Foothills News, Don Scher is leaving his law practice to enter a new business venture as a “personal counselor, agent, advocate and protector” for elderly people or others who cannot take care of themselves.
“I have emphasized in my practice, protection of the elderly, with particular interest in combatting elder abuse and financial exploitation of vulnerable adults,” he told the newspaper.
Scher has been a lawyer for 30 years, and gravitated to helping seniors while taking care of his widowed mother, the article sai.
