AFN Names Jeremiah Imonode Senior Male Athlete of the Year

The Ahwatukee Foothills News has named Jeremiah Imonode Senior Male Athlete of the Year.

According to the newspaper, Imonode recently won the 195-pound Division I Arizona state wrestling title, and his determination that led to his victory was one of the reasons he was chosen for the honor. But, he is also a sparkling human being.

“His talent gained him respect from the jump in the Desert Vista wrestling room and among the student body, but it was his personality, his smile and his attitude that allowed him to become one of the leaders of the 2015 graduating class.” the paper wrote.

Imonode will be heading to West Point in the fall.
