52,000 SF State of the Art Recreation Complex Now Open

After $20 million and years of planning, a new destination for locals and visitors opened last weekend near Ahwatukee. The Copper Sky Recreation Complex is going to be the hot spot for locals to enjoy a short getaway in a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed for all ages! It is a 52,000-square-foot building that is right by Arizona 347 near Bowlin Road.

Amenities are endless, including: swimming, tot lots, dog parks, skate park, fitness center, professional catering kitchen, picnic ramadas with grills, party and meeting rooms, piano and guitar lessons, ball fields, a gym, an indoor walking track, and even fishing at a nearby regional park lake! You can literally spend the entire day here with family and friends, making use of the various activities.

The center, just south of Ahwatukee, will be open 98 hours each week, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturdays; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays. Day passes, monthly, six-month and annual memberships are available for residents and non-residents. Those who aren’t members will still have access to the regional park, which includes the ball fields, two dog parks, a skate park, a walking trail and fishing!
